Scrambled Tofu - "Rührtofu"


This (really) looks like scrambled egg. But it's vegan and made with tofu!
Hmmm. I ate it for about 3 to 4 times during the last weeks.

Scrambled Tofu:

- 200g tofu, mash it with a fork
- 1 onion, chopped
- olive oil, pepper, salt
- curry, paprika
- parsley, rosemary, etc. (any herbs you like)
(- soy creamer)

Put the mashed tofu and the chopped onion in a pan with some olive oil. Roast for about 5 minutes and then add spices and herbs. You can add some Tablespoons (soy) creamer to make it a little bit creamier (If you add some chopped vegetables or fruit it's like (bought) egg salad).

A friend showed me this blog and this recipe. And I tried and loved it immediately. It's great to eat it on a toast or just straight out of a bowl. Hmmm. Now I one a serving, even if I'm not hungry!

  1. Oh, das hört sich aber lecker an! Ich bin ja kein Tofu-Fan (trotz Vegetarier-Daseins), aber ich glaube, da muss ich mir mal was besorgen :)
    Ist das denn Tofu pur? Ich kenn mich da ja nicht so aus, das gibts ja auch in verschiedenen Geschmacksrichtungen..

    1. Ich hab es zB einmal mit Tofu Rosso gemacht, der ist mit Tomaten und eingelegt. Der Tofu sollte nur nicht zu fest sein, weil es sonst schwer ist ihn zu zerdrücken ;)
